Limericks about Apocalypse and Armageddon
Limericks about Magic, Witchcraft and Alchemy
The source of inspiration is a thing of mystery. Anyone engaged in the creative act of painting, writing or composing music can attest to the capriciousness of the Muse. When will she visit? How long will she stay? The artist never knows.
But one thing is certain: In the presence of the Muse, the artist is obliged to pay heed. When she speaks, I obey. But seldom do I have the opportunity to say thank you. So I penned this set of limericks about the Muse in her honor, and with gratitude.
I humbly submit to her will, and sincerely pray that she comes and comes again soon. For I know that when she does she will bring comfort and curiosity.
Calliope’s Plaything
When Calliope whispers I drop what I’m doing
Deep in the cauldron a limerick is brewing
A line I can use
With a sign from the muse
So my debt to the goddess is quickly accruing
Midwife of Mystery
In the realm of ideas the muse is my master
But also the servant who does what I ask her
Her quill in my hand
I convey the command
And the words from inside me spill forward much faster
Lady of the Temple
There’s a woman excited and kind
Who by limericks was driven half blind
With absolute trust
And spiritual lust
My pen is now firm in her mind
