Scrupulous limericks that bring Goethe to life
13 Educational Limericks for Diligent Students
The road to cool, calm and collected tranquility is not a straight and simple line. If it were, a lot more of us would have probably already arrived there by now. To me, it seems more like a game of hot and cold. Sometimes we feel it and sometimes we don’t.
With any luck, this collection of 15 limericks about peace and harmony will help you feel better about the world and more connected to those around you. I wish it were as simple as popping two limericks and calling me in the morning. Instead, it’s more about patience, tolerance and acceptance.
I don’t claim to have the answers, but poetry does a lot to soothe my soul. I hope you’ll enjoy it as well. Whether you find peace through meditation, religious worship, walking in the woods, or true love, we all have our own ways. And ultimately, it’s about mutual understanding and respecting those differences that make each of us unique.
Peace on earth is still a long way off, but the limericks are right here at your finger tips.

Has never been known to cause blindness
So make someone smile
Just once in a while
For life is too short to be mindless

No matter how lowly a creature may sink
Into the swamp of corruption and stink
Don’t rush to take sides
For the line that divides
Is probably thinner than most of us think

While building in Babel

And all you’ve been taught
As you breathe in the light and dissolve into prayer

It can alter the scales
For all that we do makes it better or worse

A season for prudence and hours of inanity

Over the clouds where the angels are landing
Beyond the confusion
Of noise and illusion
And into the peace that exceeds understanding

Draws elegant strings from a bundle of knots
Like waves on the sea
That can lift you and me
On the singular ocean the source of all thoughts
